]]>Graduated from the Human Trafficking Leadership Academy at the NHTTAC, Mr. Bautista has participated in various panels and plenary sessions across the country, for example Washington, DC, Atlanta, GA, Los Angeles, CA, Reno, NV, Chicago, IL and in his local area, Sacramento, CA. As an instructor, Mr. Bautista participated in the event, “Handling Human Trafficking Cases” with the Judicial Council of California and also, instructed at the South Carolina Victim Assistance Advance Academy. As a local community leader at the Sacramento Rescue and Restore Coalition, Mr. Bautista has shared his skills and expertise with his fellow advocates and his fellow survivors, believing that any and all survivors can be restored and reintegrated into society in a positive way, with the proper support.

]]>Prior to joining the company in 2016, he spent nearly a decade at American Express serving in a variety of compliance leadership roles. In his tenure at American Express, Aaron founded and led the Financial Intelligence Unit and managed complex regulatory orders, and led the design and implementation of policy and methodology frameworks, new technologies, and organizational structures. Earlier in his career, Aaron held a number of roles at the New York County District Attorney’s office, including Unit Chief and co-founder of the Identity Theft Unit, responsible for investigating and prosecuting financial crime, data breaches, and cyber-crime. He was also a member of the Firearms Trafficking Unit, leading long-term informant and undercover-based investigations. He also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Samuel Conti, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California. Aaron is a founding member of the World Economic Forum’s Chief Risk Officers Community which works to advance the global transformation on how private and public institutions approach risk foresight, preparedness and adaptation.
Aaron earned a JD from Stanford Law School and received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York.

Muftiah represents a number of Fortune 500 companies across a range of sectors, and she also represents pro bono a number of leading organizations dedicated to gun safety, women’s health, legal representation for immigrants, and the establishment of green banks.
Muftiah is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center.

]]>Drawing from her personal experience in “the Life”, Ms. Morrissey seeks to help vulnerable girls avoid being recruited into the commercial sex industry and/ or leave exploitation behind them. To this end, Ms. Morrissey facilitates My Life My Choice exploitation prevention groups throughout Greater Boston, as well as trains service providers in Massachusetts and nationally on recognizing the signs of exploitation and helping girls exit. In addition, she works individually mentoring girls who are victims of CSEC or are deemed high risk. Ms. Morrissey is a 2008 recipient of the prestigious Petra Foundation Fellowship and a 2012 recipient of The Philanthropic Initiative’s Boston Neighborhood Fellows Award.

]]>Jean recently retired as a key partner in Marcum’s Managed Accounting Services team, where she had worked since 2006. In addition to leading teams that provide a range of outsourced accounting services, Ms. Gilbert’s engagements have included facilitation of enterprise risk management, financial and operational risk assessments, evaluation of internal controls and implementation of recommendations, providing expert support for grant management (domestic and international), analysis of indirect cost rates, and providing guidance on spin-offs, mergers, and dissolutions.
In the past, Jean has served on the boards of DC Habitat for Humanity, and Wilderness, Leadership, and Learning. Both organizations are dedicated to bringing opportunities to underserved populations in the DC Metropolitan area. Through that work, she developed a strong interest in defending human rights and Polaris.
Jean lives in Washington, DC along with her dog, and enjoys skiing, scuba diving, fitness, and writing.
